A Letter from the Executive Director
Six years ago, Clark Branson and Eileen T’Kaye invited me to join them on the
adventure that has become Boston Court. It has been an exciting project from
the start but I had no idea when we began that it would be the most thrilling
experience of my life.
Now, in our fifth season, I am honored to have been chosen by the Board of
Directors to be the new executive director. My friend and predecessor Eileen
T’Kaye leaves that post to do more of what she loves—perform! If you’ve been
around since our first season you know she is a great actor because you’ve seen
her on our stage in Summertime and Medea and she’ll be appearing in this
summer’s world premiere musical, Gulls. Her passion for Boston Court will
continue as she remains on our board of directors.
Our board has also given us new direction with a new mission to become the
Boston Court Performing Arts Center. We’ll be expanding our producing and
presenting efforts over the next two years to include more events—more music,
dance, poetry and visual arts. We’ll be bringing more choices in entertainment
for Pasadena and the surrounding communities.
And, of course, The Theatre @ Boston Court, under the leadership of Artistic
Directors Jessica Kubzansky and Michael Michetti, will continue to be the
cornerstone of the Center, producing the award-winning main stage productions
you’ve come to expect.
Zebulon Projects will now be known as “Music at the Court” and Mimi Champlin
who, along with Clark Branson, guided Zebulon from the beginning joins the
Performing Arts Center staff as the music series talent producer.
These are exciting times for Boston Court, but none of this would be possible
without you. I invite you to join us on this new journey!
I’d enjoy the opportunity to talk to each and every one of you about our new
adventure. Give me a call: 626-683-6883.
