Boston Court's Fall Music Series is made possible in part by the Pasadena Arts & Culture Commission and the City of Pasadena Cultural Affairs Division.

A magical, jazzical evening with concert pianist, Robert Thies and friends as they explore the different boundaries and connections between classical music and popular jazz idioms. This opening concert of the music season at Boston Court showcases original music written by the multitalented Mr. Thies, as well as his world renowned classical virtuosity, and selections from his new CD release, Blue Landscapes. Don’t miss an extraordinary evening with an extraordinary artist.

Internationally renowned concert pianist and favorite of Southland piano aficionados, Los Angeles-based Robert Thies is Gold-Medal winner of the Second International Prokofiev Competition in St. Petersburg, Russia. Thies enjoys a diverse career as an orchestral soloist, recitalist, and chamber musician. He has already performed 40 different concerti with orchestras all over the world, and appeared many times with Jorge Mester and the Pasadena Symphony.  He has also appeared on the soundtracks for motion pictures, including the current film, The Life of Pi.
