The popular Southern California professor and performer combines beautiful music, poignant lyrics, and stunning visual elements for an evening full of artistry, poetry and purpose. Her program features the work of Debussy, Bach and Beethoven, and the anti-racist anthem, “Strange Fruit,” which is famous as a response to the U.S. Constitution’s 13th Amendment which outlawed slavery. The program is filled with musical provocations and timely explorations about race and equality in the United States.

This concert is presented in partnership with Piano Spheres.

Boston Court's Emerging Artists Series is made possible through generous support of the Lazy L Foundation.
