David O works, all right.  He’s one of the workin’est Composers and Musical Directors in Los Angeles.  A long-time favorite of LA’s music-theatre scene, his work has been performed in theaters from Theater Row to Grand Avenue.  His major choral composition, “A Map of Los Angeles,” was called “a hit... with terrific verve” by the LA Times when premiered by the LA Master Chorale at Walt Disney Concert Hall.  Other work by O has ranged from his Ovation Award-winning experimental score for “Ubu Roi” to arrangements and compositions for Disney’s “Toy Story: the Musical”.  “O Works” will showcase the broad range of David O’s compositions in an intimate setting, featuring O on piano (and singing), and a handful of LA’s strongest and most unique singer-actors.
